Welcome to the penultimate counting event of 2025 Moravian local league. This time, we will be orienteering in the western part of the iconic Roseisle Forest. The area was last used for an orienteering event five years ago. The event routegadget is attached here: 2020-10-31 Roseisle Saturday League.
Roseisle Forest offers a fabulous place to orienteer with intricate contour features and a good path network, all on a coastal dune covered in pine trees.
Four courses are on offer:
- Yellow: Relatively easy, shorter course. Ideal for novice and younger orienteers.
- Orange: Moderate technical difficulty. Slightly longer course than yellow.
- Red: Moderate technical difficulty, but longer for those wanting to run further.
- Green: More technically difficult and longer course, suitable for experienced orienteers.
The event is open to everyone, but we ask that anyone who is new to orienteering to ensure that they enter a course appropriate for their level of experience, rather than their fitness. Starts between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm, with courses closing at 1:30 pm.
Online entries until 11:59 pm on Wednesday 1 October and limited entries on the day, subject to map availability and an additional £1 fee.
