The Shires Way is a multi-day, self-supported bikepacking adventure designed for gravel and mountain bike riders. This inaugural event promises an unforgettable experience for cycling enthusiasts seeking a personal challenge amidst quintessentially English countryside, stunning protected landscapes, and diverse terrain.

Date: Friday, June 12th - Sunday, June 14th, 2026
Location: Departure from Cotswold Lakes Camping, Somerford Keynes
Start Time: Registration opens at 08:00 am; riders depart by 09:30 am
Duration: Three days, concluding officially at 18:00 pm on Sunday, June 14th, 2026
Distance: 219 miles (352km) with over 12,000ft (3700m) of climbing
Terrain: Roughly 50/50 mix of quiet country lanes, established bridleways, chalk tracks, and woodland trails
