Falmouth Running Club are delighted to be hosting the 37th annual Mob Match taking place on Sunday 23rd November.

Run for your club, gym or as a team of running friends in the Mob Match - the traditional end to the Cornish racing year.

This 5-mile road race is a team event open to runners in clubs affiliated to the Cornwall Road Running and Racing Group, and new to this year is open to clubs and gyms who are not affiliated. If you've been wondering what this race is all about, now is the time to sign up! 

The race is measured 5 miles, starting around the magnificent Pendennis Headland, along Falmouth's iconic seafront - passing the renowned Gyllyngvase and Swanpool beaches - before a fast finish outside the famous Falmouth Hotel.

There will be a prize giving at Race HQ, the Princess Pavilion after the race.

CRRRG clubs will be in the same Divisions (1,2 or 3) as per the 2024 race unless the race director is notified prior to the start. Non CRRRG clubs will be welcomed into Division 3. There will be prizes in each division for Male and Female teams, and new this year will be mixed team prizes too. Each finisher is awarded points which go towards their team's placing.

Following the race there will be the presentation of trophies to winning teams in conjunction with the CRRRG awards to individuals who have completed 8 or more GP races in the Cornwall Glass sponsored series at Race HQ.

In addition to the team prize winners, every runner will receive a Mob Match 25 long sleeve winter running top! These will be supplied in both a ladies' and men's fit, so please choose your usual size from the list. Please note that entries made after the 7th of November may not be guaranteed a top on the day. There will also be some great spot prizes awarded in a random draw of race numbers.

  • Race start time: 10.30am
  • Registration: 9am - 10.00am at the Princess Pavilion (a 5 minute walk to the start line).
  • Start: Castle Drive, just below entrance to Pendennis Castle
  • Finish: Outside Falmouth Hotel
  • Minimum age: 15 (on race day)
  • Race cut-off time: 90 minutes
  • No water station due to race distance, but runners are welcome to bring a handheld bottle. Please be mindful of bottle disposal and do not discard mid-race. Water will be available at the finish.
  • First aid cover provided
  • Toilets at Race HQ and public toilets on Castle Beach.
  • Car parking on surrounding roads (not outside the Falmouth Hotel or at the Princess Pavilion please) and local car parks - including The Dell, by Falmouth Town Station (10 minute walk from race HQ).
  • Public Transport - nearest train station is Falmouth Town
  • Bag drop at race HQ.
  • Massages by Fit Foundation available at Race HQ.
  • Bananas donated by WestCountry at the finish, and a water station.
  • Free beer for every finisher donated by Firebrand Beer Co. (Non alcoholic alternatives available on request)
  • Pop up sports shop provided by Castle Sports at Race HQ
  • Spot prizes donated by KLOTH and Fitness Foundation - check your entry pack to see if you a lucky winner!
  • Cafe at Race HQ open before and after race, including licensed bar afterwards.
