Tayside Orienteering Club invite you to a local event at Balgay Hill, Dundee. This is a local orienteering event suitable for both newcomers and experienced orienteers. The hill is a wooded area offering some fast running with some steep slopes. All courses include the adjoining Victoria Park with grass areas and scattered trees. The longest course includes a section in the neighbouring residential area. The area is mostly very runnable and makes good practice for map reading and decision-making on the run. All courses involve some climb!
Registration will be open from 10:45
You can start any time between 11:00 and 12:30
Courses close at 2:30pm

Distances given above are straight line distances between the controls, except for the urban part of the Green course, where the reasonable runnable distance has been included in the total.
Yellow: suitable for beginners, all on paths
Orange: slightly harder navigation with the controls located a bit away from paths. Suitable for adult beginners or young people with some experience.
Green: harder navigation, suitable for experienced orienteers. This course extends into the neighbouring residential area and so anyone competing who is under 16 needs to be shadowed for this part of the course.
