Venue: West Lane Baptist Church, BD22 8EN   Presentation: 6pm to 7.30pm (arrive from 5.30pm onwards)

Join us for an unforgettable evening after the Haworth Hobble finishes as Tom shares his incredible and humorous stories, insights, and lessons learned from pushing the limits of human possibility on some of the world’s toughest challenges. By day, he is a Consultant Anaesthetist at our local hospital but we promise that he absolutely will not be putting anybody to sleep on this occasion.

Just some of Tom's exploits in recent years include:

  • Full Winter Spine Race winner 2017 and podium finisher at all races in Winter Spine Race series
  • FKT of Yorkshire Dales 30 where he also managed to have himself along with the Hobble Race Director and Assistant Race Director almost killed at 3.30am by a herd of cows !
  • Supported Wainwrights Round in just over 6 days where he narrowly missed the all time record
  • Self supported Wainwrights Round in Feb 2025 where in often appalling weather, he somehow completed all 214 summits by himself and smashed the existing record (done in summer) and first person ever to do in winter
  • The only person to have completed the Irish 24 hr rounds (Wicklow and Rankin) back to back in under 24hrs each.........and cycled the 110 miles between the 2 rounds !
  • Bob Graham Round on mid winters Day
  • Solo double Bob Graham Round
  • And finally, the craziest one of the lot when he set multiple world bests for 'Everesting' when he did a vertical marathon by running non-stop up and down Pendle Hill over 200 times.

The venue costs are covered by KCAC so 100% of the proceeds will be going to our club charity of the year, the Airedale Hospital and Community Charity - rather appropriate given Tom's longstanding employment there.

The presentation and subsequent Questions & Answers session will finish at 7.30pm. The venue holds 150 people and it doubles as Haworth cinema so we have a large screen for showing videos with excellent sound.
