The PieAthlon is a fun event which combines a 6km trail run with a selection of delicious pies to taste which are available at the 3 pie stations along the route. The PieAthlon is designed to bring together race enthusiasts and pie lovers in a fun and challenging event. Fancy dress is encouraged for this race and there will be a prize for the best fancy dress.
The race starts and finishes at The Dusty Miller Pub in Longwood. The route takes you through a variety of mainly off-road terrains and challenges, including the infamous ‘bog of doom’, giving a full view of the stunning scenery around Longwood and surrounding area along the way.
The PieAthlon has been running for several years, from this year the running of the event will be taken over by 25th Salendine Nook Scout Group in collaboration with The Dusty Miller. The money raised from this event will be reinvested in the event making improvements for future years, as well as being invested back into the Scout Group to help to provide a fun experience for the young people of the area and provide an enjoyable scouting experience for all.
Prizes available. Medal will be presented to all entrants with prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st Lady, 1st Junior and Best Fancy Dress

- Parking: Parking is very limited around the start location, it is recommended to park further away and approach on foot, limited parking is available on Longwood Edge Road What3words: waddled.ants.candle
- Baggage: It is possible to leave a bag at the start of the race, which will be stored in The Dusty Miller, please note there are no showering facilities available on this event. The event is quite muddy so you may need a change of clothes.
- Dogs: Well behaved dogs are welcome but must under the owners control at all times, especially as some of the race will pass through fields which may contain livestock.
- Under 18’s need consent from parent or guardian, or be accompanied by an appropriate Adult, Parent or Guardian.
