Welcome to the Headstock 500, a multi-day, self supported, bike packing adventure traversing the breathtaking landscapes of South Wales. Now in its third year, this event promises an unforgettable experience for cycling enthusiasts seeking a personal challenge amidst stunning scenery and diverse terrain.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, May 22nd to Monday, May 25th, 2026
- Location: Departure from Tiny Rebel Brewery Bar, Rogerstone
- Start Time: Registration opens at 09:00 am; riders depart by 11:00 am
- Duration: Four days, concluding officially at 20:00 pm on Monday, May 25th, 2026
- Distance: 500km of mixed terrain, including open moorland, forestry double track, and single track
- Highlights: The route takes participants through lesser-known areas of South and Mid Wales, offering stunning views and challenging sections. Key highlights include the Black Mountains, Radnor Hills, Cambrian Mountains, Elan Valley, Brecon Beacons including the famous Sarn Helen.
