Loops Of 10, 8, 6 and 5 miles
This event is part of a triple challenge with the Hannington Hike and Chiltern Kanter.
VENUE
Wendover Memorial Hall, Wharf Road, Wendover, Bucks HP22 6HF GR SP 870083
PARKING
In school next to hall, please follow Marshals’ directions.
START/FINISH Hall opens from 07.30 for registration, with a rolling start from then onwards with LAST initial registration at 11.00. All must finish by 18.00hrs. Hall closes at 18.30hrs
DOGS
Dogs are allowed on this event, BUT NO DOGS are allowed in HQ. (except assistance dogs). ALL MUST be on leads at all times & MUST have appropriate liability insurance.
OBJECT
To complete your chosen total distance using any combination of loops on foot following route descriptions, which follow mainly field paths, tracks, woods & streams with good views from the hills traversed of the Chilterns.
EQUIPMENT
YOUR ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS, COMPASS & MUG. NO mugs will be supplied at HQ. We recommend you wear suitable footwear and clothing. Waterproofs.
MAPS
Covering the routes OS LR 165 or OS EXP 181 Marked up maps will be displayed at the start.
YOU MUST DOWNLOAD & PRINT YOUR OWN ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS
Route descriptions will NOT be available on the day. If you have a problem printing your route descriptions, please contact Mike, details below. The route descriptions & GPX files will be available on the BBN website from 25th May 2026.
FOOD/DRINK
The entry fee includes drinks & food at HQ between loops & at the end. There will be NO support on any of the routes. We will cater for vegetarians as well as meat eaters, and there may be some vegan food available, but cannot be guaranteed. Sorry but we cannot provide for any dietary requirements. Refreshments provided are prepared & served under uncontrolled conditions. Obviously all practical efforts will be taken to maintain food safety. However from a legal standpoint, entrants should independently determine the suitability of the refreshments we provide.
TRANSPORT
Wendover Rail Station is only 15 minutes walk away from the start.
AWARDS
A certificate will be awarded to all who finish, plus a free badge on request. We also give a certificate & badge to all who complete the BBN triple challenge: Chiltern Kanter, Pick & Mix and the Hannington Hike in any order and any route.
THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY & ENTRIES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE & NO SUBSTITUTIONS
A £2.00 admin fee will be charged on refunds for cancellations advised before 17th May 2026, after this date no refunds will be given but, if your place is filled from the waiting list, a donation will be made to the local Air Ambulance.
