With a number of distances from half-marathon to ultra, this trail race (formerly the The North Leeds Greenway) follows the route of Walkers are Welcome (Otley) Green Gateways book. If you would like a copy of the guide book please email us [email protected]. The route sets itself apart thanks to its city-centre setting. Green Gateways Greenway is a little-known trail that unites the parks and public green spaces around Leeds. Despite taking runners close to the heart of this Northern Powerhouse, the race remains substantially off-road – much of the return route is along the Meanwood Valley Trail – making it easy to forget one is so close to this bustling city.

Car Park: Craftsman Tools Open 06:00 (owned by William Sinclair Stationers in Otley – both have kindly allowed us to use it for the race). It is located at the end of Bremner Street off the A659 Pool Road LS21 1JD (opposite ASDA). ///judges.puncture.sofa. Please note the car park will be locked at 20:00

No Dogs are allowed inside the Cricket Club

Trackers: All ultramarathon entrants will be supplied with a tracker. Trail race (half marathon and 20 mile) runners can hire a tracker when entering for £15. When you collect your tracker at registration it will already switched on and you will be given instructions on where to carry it. During the race the tracker will show on the Green Gateways 2026 Tracker Screen You can share this link with your friends and family so they can see how you are doing. If you click the podium icon on the tracker screen it will show you each runners ETA at the CPs and their projected finish time based on their current speed. Please note there is a big button on the front of your tracker, if you need emergency help, provided the tracker is in range press it and remain where you are, this ends your race.

‍Route: Provisional GPX files of the route and route description are available from the GPX tab on the Punk Panther website. The final version will be emailed to all competitors with the Final Race Instructions the week before the event. You MUST use the email version as this will take into account any last minute diversions.

Taping: We will tape/flag/sign all routes the week before the race, however tape can be moved or stolen, so please do not rely solely on it for navigation, but as confirmation of the route.

Kit list: (We will not be doing a kit check, but you will be expected to always carry the following as a minimum for your safety. You are responsible for your own safety). We will be carrying out random kit checks on the course and if you are found not carrying your full kit, you will be disqualified.

• Suitable Bag for all your kit (not a carrier bag!)
• Waterproof Jacket with taped seams.
• Enough fluids to get you to the next CP.
• Cup to enable you to get drinks at CPs.
• Energy Bar/Nutrition.
• Survival/Bivvy Bag (not just a sheet).
• Whistle.
• Tracker for Ultramarathon (supplied by us) MUST be always worn.
• Hat/buff.
• Gloves.
• Personal First Aid Kit.
• Hard copy of the Map/Route description (Details will be sent with final competitor instructions see below)
• Head Torch (34 Mile course only).
• Mobile phone with race director’s number: Mark (07702 021156) Ryk (07950 008005) Medic (07726 774851) stored in it. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PHONE ON AT ALL TIMES SO THAT WE CAN CONTACT YOU IF NECESSARY.

NB: Dependent on the weather this list may be amended when the final competitor instructions are sent out.

Race Brief: A short race brief at registration will be given for each distance as soon as registration for that distance has finished. The Race Director will then lead all runners to the start line.

Start: Station Top Car Park Entrance is signed off East Chevin Road, Otley. If you are heading out of Otley it is on the Right just after the Auction Mart (which is on the left), but before you get to Birdcage Walk. Nearest postcode is LS21 3HF. ///legal.hint.saved

Checkpoints: Each checkpoint has a selection of items including water, coke, fanta, energy bars, snacks, crisps & more. There are vegan/gluten free options at all checkpoints please ask if you require them as they are in a seperate box.

There are three Checkpoints in total for the race. The closing times for each Checkpoint denotes the cut off time. If you arrive after the checkpoint closing time you will be timed out from the event.

The 34 mile route visits CP1, CP2 & CP3.
The 20 mile route visits CP1 & CP3 only.
The Half Marathon route only visits CP3.

Timing Points (TP): These are on the course and you must pass through them. Failure to do so will result in a time penalty or disqualification.

Support Crews: Please ensure any support crews avoid official CPs. Anyone breaking this rule will result in their runner being disqualified. If you have a support crew there are plenty of other places to meet you on the route. This is due to a lack of space that we need for our marshals and medic.

Finish: Every finisher receives a medal and an event T-Shirt (unless you opt out). There is home made hot food at the finish (with Vegan and Gluten Free options) in addition to hot drinks and snacks at the finish.
