21.5 km / 13.5 miles (ie 'approx half marathon') with 760m / 2500 feet climb / descent, almost entirely off road. A scenic tour round (and above!) the tracks and trails of the Goyt Valley, and up to Shining Tor.

All race proceeds to Buxton Rotary for good causes both local and further afield.
Whilst not a road or trail race, the race is intended to be suitable for those with more limited fell running experience or relatively new to fell running: please contact the organiser if unsure. The course is marked at junctions: but the onus is on the runner to navigate. Free maps available online or at race HQ.
Full Fell Runners Association kit to be carried - waterproof whole body cover (with taped seams and integrated attached hood), hat and gloves, map of the route, compass, whistle and emergency food. Additionally a water bottle or similar, and some first aid kit are both strongly recommended.
Water available at 2 points on route, and hot food / drinks available at the finish.
Course could be muddy in parts - footwear with good grip required !
