𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 is a new and exciting social running event from Run Eat Sleep – inspired by our popular South Shields Landmark Challenge events

The challenge is a self navigated run as a team, starting & finishing at Blue's Micro Pub – with visits to a number of well known and hidden landmarks. The event is open to all levels of runner including members and non members of running clubs. Fancy dress and team outfits actively encouraged! 😉
The challenge will be held on Thursday 26th June with a 6.30pm start time & a social with everyone at the pub afterwards.
Distance 10km Approx.
Get your running friends together & enjoy a good run out! Enjoy a pie & a pint with everyone which can be purchased at the pub 🍻 🥧
**How the challenge will work**
1. All runners must be part of a team. When entering, your team name can either be picked from the drop down list or if it is the first member of a team entering, they will need to add the name for others to choose.
2. A list of landmarks and a map will be provided to entrants 1 week before the event via email.
3. Teams must have a minimum of 2 runners. There is no limit on the number of runners in your team.
4. Each team must run to the landmarks & navigate their own route. There is no official marked route and teams must find the checkpoints on their own. The landmarks can be visited in any order.
5. Teams must take a team photo at each of the landmarks to prove they’ve visited.
The aim is to visit all of the landmarks in the shortest time possible.
6. Prizes for first all male & first all female winning teams.
Start/Finish & Registration at Blues Micro Pub. SR6 7EW. Please car share where possible & park respectfully.
Start Time 6.30pm and teams must register from 6pm on the evening to confirm their attendance.
Distance 10km approx. The distance is dependant on your navigation, but we expect around 10km on average.
Weather & Terrain – Please check the weather forecast before coming along & wear appropriate clothing for the conditions. The terrain will be a mix of roads, grass, trails & hills.
Safety Kit – Fully charged mobile phone, water, food/snacks, emergency money, appropriate clothing. Dry clothing, socks & shoes for after the run if the conditions are wet.
