Announcements: The Manchester 17MCC Ltd will organise an multi lap Enduro (timecard enduro with no actual timecard). To be held under the National Sporting Code of the ACU standing regulations of Enduro, the following Supplementary regulations and any final instructions that may be issued.
Eligibility: Riders must hold a current ACU competition licence or Scottish ACU licence. If required, One day competition licences are available via the online Entry system.
Start: 10am. Duration 3 - 4 hours.
Route: The course will be comprised of two sections to form a lap, (the going and the special test), the going will be an open moorland course of between 6 and 10 miles comprising of open moorland and moorland tracks, the special test course will be 3-4 mile. The open moorland course will be marked with orange day-glo arrows and pink day-glo poles or posts with white tape attached. Riders may follow the general direction of the course and where arrows or poles are placed to form a gate, riders MUST pass between them, there will be no time restrictions on the lap times,
Riders must complete a specified number of laps for their class in the specified time given (max 4 hours).
Special test: The special test course will be fully taped out and clearly marked, riders will be timed to 100th second and a cumulative time given for all legitimate passes through the test course.
A target number of total laps will be given to all classes who must complete the full laps and the required number of special tests to finish, The class winners will be the riders who have completed the required number of laps and has the lowest cumulative sprint times.
Course cutting will result in exclusion from the event and the published results.
The special test start and finish will be located by the paddock, only expert riders will pass through the test at specific times, the test will be closed for all other classes 10 minutes before that time to give experts a clear course, a holding and working area will be provided for waiting riders, all other classes may pass through the test after the experts at free will.
All riders will start from the special test start for a untimed sighting lap and be set off at 10 second intervals, this pass through the test is untimed for all classes, the next pass through the special test (2nd pass) will be timed to 100th second.
Timing: You will be provided a transponder at signing on in return for a £20.00 deposit. Failure to return your transponder by the end of the event will result in loss of your deposit and an invoice being raised for the full cost of a replacement.
Live timing will be available for crews to view on their phones/devices, a link will be posted in the final instructions and at signing on, riders will also be able to see special test times and position at the end point of the sprint course.
Transponder posts or marshal checkpoints will be located around the course to register the correct passage around the open moorland course.
Entries: If you are a ACU Enduro event licence holder then you will need to quote your licence number to allow this to be verified. You will need to bring proof of being the licence holder when signing on, this can be on your phone via the ACU portal or via a print out. If proof cannot be shown then a day license will need to be issued at the relevant fee.
Signing on: All riders and officials MUST sign on BEFORE the start of the event. This will be between 08.30 and 09.30. After signing on, riders may present their machines and riding equipment to the machine examiners for inspection. There may be random noise tests, so please make sure your machine complies with the current noise regulations. We WILL remove excessively noisy bikes from the course even after the start! Machine examination will close at 10.00 hrs.
Any tires may be fitted at this event. After machine examination, please place your machine in the areas indicated by the Marshals.
Copies of the ACU National Sporting Code are available on application from the Auto-Cycle Union, ACU House, Wood Street, Rugby, Warks, CV21 2YX. The fee is £10.00.
Information: The insurance cover for this event will be a basic limited liability limited to £10 Million. Medical malpractice insurance limited of liability of £5 Million is included. There is no personal accident insurance for the competitors. Competitors are therefore advised to look into purchasing such cover which is available through the ACU website www.acu.org.uk or Locktons Insurance.
