Start window: 5pm to 730pm THE FINAL DETAILS HAVE NOW BEEN ISSUED BY EMAIL TO ALL THAT HAVE ENTERED SO FAR. THEY ARE ALSO AVAILABLE VIA THE ORANGE BUTTON ABOVE. LATE ENTRIES AND ON THE DAY ENTRIES ARE WELCOMED AND WE DO PRINT SPARE MAPS FOR SUCH LATE ENTRIES. IT IS STILL BEST TO USE THIS ON LINE ENTRY SYSTEM EVEN IF ENTERING ON THE DAY! ON LINE ENTRIES MAY CLOSE EARLY IF THE MAPS RUN OUT! Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT accompanied youngsters under 18 who go for FREE (when accompanied by a paying adult who must be 21+). Juniors aged 16 and above can run/walk alone with parental permission - in this case they need their own individual entry at the standard adult rate. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Please enter early for the best rates and to help with planning for maps, parking, event officials and catering.

Tuesday evening Sunset Spunch - Town & Country Spunch from the Vale Inn, 29-31 Adlington Rd, Bollington SK10 5JT.
Part of the bollingtonwalkingfestival.co.uk and one of our late summer / early autumn Sunset Spunch Series - making the most of the midweek evening daylight before the clocks go back. Get an early start and beat the dark or enjoy the sun setting before you return in fading light (hi vis clothing & torch necessary for later starters).

The usual 60, 90 and 120 min score course options (choose on the night itself).
Bag Drop, Loos, Start, Finish, Food & Drink all at the Vale Inn. Evening Spunch for runners & walkers. Very family friendly & dog friendly too.
An early return to the Vale as part of the Bollington Walking Festival - we will be visiting different parts this time but will (of course) be including an option to go up the White Nancy for those who wish to get the best views & sunset .
About 20 mins from M60 J3 & M56 J6. 30 mins from M6 J17,18,19. Bollington is particularly convenient for Macclesfield, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Bramhall, Hazel Grove, Disley, Whaley Bridge and Buxton etc.
Run, jog or walk - suitable for road runners, trail runners, park runners, fell runners, adventure racers, orienteers, walkers, newcomers, and families alike. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! Newcomers and locals always very welcome. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages and abilities - lots of help available for newcomers. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Start at your convenience anytime between 5pm & 730pm. (Last start for 90min course 715pm, last start for 120min course 645pm). Registration open from 5pm.
Beat the dark! Catch the Sunset! Sunset will be around 740pm and it will be dark from 815pm. Earlier starters will have the advantage of full daylight throughout! Wear hi-visibility clothing and bring a torch / head torch if you expect to be still out after 730pm!
Navigating with a specially prepared map, visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch.
Explore some of the town's quiet and quaint streets and some of the beautiful surrounding countryside. With both hilly and less hilly options there is lots to explore. As well as navigating your way through the town, you might also enjoy sections of the Macclesfield Canal, the Middlewood Way, and the rich network of paths in the surrounding hills and valleys*. Even locals will likely discover new paths and places!
The Vale Inn will provide a warm welcome with excellent Food & Drink available after your run / walk. The pub is child and dog friendly. And a nice outdoor beer garden area if the weather is kind.
With over 60 Spunchpoints to go for - how many will you bag?
Car parking in the town's car parks or street side all within 10 mins walk from the Vale Inn.
Catch the Spunch Train. Macclesfield train station is a 10 min cab ride away. It is very well served by trains from Manchester, Stockport and Stoke, and everything in between.
