Choice of a 25-mile or 12-mile route exploring the Yorkshire Dales which is open to walkers and runners, and starting from the picturesque Cracoe Village Hall, BD23 6LQ.
Please note for 2026 we will be doing the South loop first, giving those who did the 12-mile North route in 2024 a chance to do the South loop in 2026.

Start time for all entrants is 8.30am.
Please note no dogs allowed, sorry.
The walk is to be completed in 10 hours.
Checkpoints: at the start, serving tea, coffee & toast, well stocked CP at 7, 12 and 18 miles and a good meal awaits you at the finish.
There is a cut-off time at 2.00pm at Checkpoint 2 (12 miles) for those who are doing the 25-mile route. Anyone not through this Checkpoint will be asked to retire.
Entries will be restricted to the first 125 and will be closed when this maximum is reached. If maximum is not reached and you wish to enter on the day the cost would be LDWA member £20 and £15, non LDWA member £25.00 and £20.00. With limited car parking at the village hall, further car parking is also available on the left-hand side of the Hetton road and in the large layby on the B6265. Marshals will be on hand to assist and direct. Your co-operation would be appreciated in order to avoid any inconvenience to the residents of Cracoe on the day.
