Our Tri & Aqua offers solo's or teams of two-three the chance to race through charming Cheshire on fast, flat courses. It involves a cool open water lake swim, a fast 55km draft-legal bike & a 10km canter around the local lanes. Half this if you're competing in the sprint distance.
Distances:
Swim (OW) - Standard- 900m, Sprint - 450m
Bike - Standard - 55km (2 laps), Sprint - 27km (1 lap)
Run - Standard - 10km (2 laps), Sprint - 5km (1 lap) - The courses are held on (quiet) public roads with few paths.
Aquabike: Swim 900m, Bike 55km
Event Timings:
7.30-8.30am: Registration (at Allostock Village Hall - WA16 9LQ) & Transition Open (at Boundary Water Park)
8.50am: Briefing for all competitors (Lakeside)
9.00: Swim Start - ALL COMPETITORS (Tri, Aquabike, Relays)

Registration / Car Parking:
This is located at Allostock Village Hall (WA16 9LQ) a half-mile from the Boundary venue. If easier, competitors can drop kit boxes / bags off at Boundary Water Park then drive to parking at Village Hall before walking back to the race start at 9am. No parking is permitted on the main roads close to the venue.
Swim Caps / Race numbers:
Will be provided at registration on the day. Race belts are permitted. Race numbers are also provided at registration.
Wetsuits Optional:
The water expected to be approximately 15c so wetsuits will be optional.
Competitor Info:
Ensure that you've got all the necessary clothing, refreshments and nutrition to last for the duration of the event which can take anything from 2.5-4.5 hours to complete. A tried and tested bike, wetsuit and goggles will help considerably.
Bikes:
Standard road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids are welcome.
Our event is 'draft-legal' but, for safety reasons, especially since the event is taking place on public roads, we will be referencing British Triathlon rules relating to draft-legal racing which this is.
For Age-Group draft-legal competitions, the following handlebar rules will apply:
Clip-ons are not allowed.
Tri-bars are not allowed.

Although recommended front and rear bike lights are not mandatory but optional
