Kingdom of Fife Orienteers are staging an orienteering event in Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy, Fife.
This will be suitable for all abilities, from those just starting out to people who have been orienteering on many previous occasions.
It’s a lovely park, with some very nice hedged areas and an interesting, steeply sloping wooded area on the longer courses.
Start times will be between 11am and 12 noon. We will give you an exact start time a couple of days before the event.
There are three courses on offer:
YELLOW is suitable for beginners and juniors and is almost all on paths. It is about 2km long.
ORANGE is suitable for people who have done some orienteering before. It is about 3km long.
GREEN is best for people who have done fair amount of orienteering. It will be about 5.0km long.
All the maps will be on A4 waterproof paper at 1:7500 scale.
The meeting point is close to the public car park off Abbotshall Road. Full details of how to find us and what to expect will be sent a couple of days before the event.
