Striding across two counties. Will you choose the red rose or white rose, or will you be brave enough to take on both?
This unique event gives you 3 options - A choice of two 50k routes - Lancashire or Yorkshire or a figure of 8 100k by doing both.
The 100k will send you from Hebden Hey scout hut, Hebden Bridge towards Burnley, passing through the beautiful village of Worsthorne & the picturesque Townley Park before heading back towards Cliviger & up onto the tops towards a brutal climb up to Gaddings Dam and Stoodly Pike before dropping into Hebden Bridge & back to HQ.
After a quick stop for food etc you will head back out towards the historic Haworth & over to Bingley. Coming back through the beautiful Cottingley Woods with its greenery & waterfalls, past Ogden Water and onto the moor dropping down into the finish line.
You have a generous 24hrs to complete the 100k giving you ample time to enjoy the scenery we have chosen midsummer so you get the most daylight making this a tough but rewarding experience.
if 100k is too much then why not pick one side for 50k
you can choose between the red (Lancashire) or white (Yorkshire) depending on where your allegiance lies, or whether you want a bit more road or love the open moorland
This event is open to all.
100k start: 7am (registration 6:00-6.45)
Red rose start: 7am (registration 6:00-6:45)
White rose start: 8.00 am (registration 7:00-7.45)
