Priority entry is open to LDWA members only until the end of 31st December.
You will need to provide your LDWA membership number during the entry process.
Entry will open for all at 12noon on 2nd January 2026.

PARKING: On site parking, please follow Marshal’s directions.
START: Hall opens from 07.30 for registration. There will be a rolling start for Walkers from 08.00 and Runners/Fast Walkers from 09.00. When choosing a start time PLEASE take into account opening/closing times of checkpoints. All must finish by 18.30hrs. The hall will close at 19.00hrs.

THE OBJECT To complete your chosen route, using a route description through a number of checkpoints.
2 checkpoints on 15.5mile, 3 checkpoints on 26.6 mile routes.
ROUTE DESCRIPTION: YOU MUST DOWNLOAD & PRINT YOUR OWN ROUTE DESCRIPTION
Route descriptions will NOT be available on the day. If you have a problem printing your route description, please contact Mike, details below. The route description, including checkpoint opening & closing times, also GPX files will be available on the BBN website from 28th February 2026.
EQUIPMENT: YOUR ROUTE DESCRIPTION, COMPASS & MUG. NO mugs will be supplied at the checkpoints. We recommend you wear suitable footwear & clothing. Waterproofs, Torch (if finishing after dark).
MAPS: covering the routes OS LR 141 & 152 or OS EXP 223 & 224. Marked up maps will be displayed at the start.
RETIREMENTS: You MUST inform a walk official or RING the Emergency Number. Return transport will be provided from checkpoint only.
AWARDS: A certificate will be awarded to all who finish, plus free badge on request. We also give certificate & badge to all who complete the BBN triple challenge: Chiltern Kanter, Pick & Mix, Hannington Hike in any order, any route.
FOOD/DRINK: The entry fee includes drinks throughout, biscuits at the start, snacks at all checkpoints &
a light meal at the finish (from 12 noon). We will cater for vegetarians as well as meat eaters, and there may be some vegan food available, but it cannot be guaranteed. Sorry but we cannot provide for any other dietary requirements. Refreshments provided are prepared & served under uncontrolled conditions. Obliviously all practical efforts will be taken to maintain food safety. However, from a legal standpoint, entrants should independently determine the suitability of the refreshments we provide.
Cancellation: A £2.00 admin fee will be charged on cancellations advised before 23rd February 2025, after this date no refunds will be given but, if your place is filled from the waiting list, a donation will be made to a local Air Ambulance.
THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY & ENTRIES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE & NO SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE ALLOWED.
