11th Kirroughtree Junior MTB Duathlon

The Kirroughtree Hillbilly Duathlon, Junior event, is a Run and Mountain Bike Duathlon organised by local volunteers.
The course is based around the Kirroughtree Visitor Centre, Palnure, Newton Stewart. DG8 7BE
There are two categories, 8 - 11 years who compete over a 500m run and a 3km bike section; 12 - 15 years compete over a 3km run and an 8km bike section (All distances are approximate).
Competitors can enter individually and do both the run and the bike sections or in a team of one runner and one biker.
Registration for both races runs from 9am to 10.30am
The 8 – 11’s race will start at 11am with the 12 - 15's race starting at 12 pm.
Each finisher will receive a Kirroughtree Hillbilly medal. Gold, Silver, Bronze medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
Male & Female Categories: U10, U12, U14, U16
You must be over 18 to register on the system and make an entry on behalf of a rider.
The Mountain Bike Stage of the Junior Hillbilly Duathlon will take place over Blue Graded Trails. Blue Grades are suitable for Intermediate cyclists or Mountain Bikers with basic off-road riding skills and for Mountain Bikes or Hybrid bikes.
Competitors must provide their own trail worthy bikes and must be wearing a helmet when competing. No Helmet, No Start.
