Short Walk: 3 miles – 130ft of ascent
From Reeth, we will follow public rights of way to Healaugh. At Healaugh we will cross the stepping stones (water levels permitting) and walk back along the other side of the Swale to the swing bridge. We'll return to Reeth for an optional cafe visit at Two Dales Bakery.
Mandatory Kit:
- Walking boots/shoes and thick socks
- Full length trousers as some sections of the path could be overgrown. Jeans are not recommended.
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Warm hat and gloves
- Spare top layer in your pack
- Snacks and drinks in an easy to find section of your bag. We recommend bringing at least 500ml of drinks with you per person.
- Fully charged mobile phone
- Any personal medication needed
- A comfortable back pack to carry your own kit. You may wish to consider putting things inside a plastic bag or other waterproof bag inside your back pack
- Money if you wish to join us at Two Dales
