Welcome to our first event of 2025. This time, we will be at Lossiemouth Oakenhead, where we last orienteered around 6 years ago. Ken Anderson has planned three great courses for you to kick start the 2025 local league:
- Yellow:
- Orange;
- Light green.
Lossiemouth Oakenhead is a coniferous forest with a good path network. Some areas of the forest have suffered wind blow from recent storms, but the courses have been designed to avoid the worst affected areas. All paths remain clear.
The event is open to everyone, but we ask for anyone who is new to orienteering to ensure that they enter a course appropriate for their level of experience. Please see the British Orienteering website for more information here: https://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/newcomers_guide
Remember please to enter a course which suits your experience not your fitness level. For those unsure of which course to enter, see the above link to the guidance from British Orienteering. Parents following children do not need to enter.
Starts between 10:30 am and 12:00 noon, with courses closing at 1:30 pm.
Online entries until 11:59 pm on Wednesday 8 January 2025. Limited Paper EOD on the day, subject to map availability and an additional £1 fee.

Please don't forget that after this event, and in the evening, Moravian will have its Club Awards and Social Event at Rafford Village Hall (6 - 9 pm, doors open at 5.30 pm). All members of the Club are welcome to attend. Please bring your own sharing contribution for food and contact our Chair, Rob Parkinson (chair@mor.scot), to let him know what you plan to bring. We will also have our awards and a quiz devised and hosted by our Club juniors. What more can you ask!
