FIVE TRIGS RETURNS TO AN APRIL DATE WITH A BRAND NEW VENUE AND ROUTE!
A route around 5 Trig Points of the South Pennines, the most northerly point being Blackstone Edge. Open to walkers and runners.
Registration: Opens at 8am
Start Times: Walkers and early start Runners - 9am. Runners (Race) - 10am.
Location: Castleshaw Centre, Waterworks Rd, Delph OL3 5LZ
Distance: 19 miles
Ascent: 3000 feet
Event Fees: Chip timing and food and drink at 3 roadside checkpoints plus free soup at the finish.
All participants must carry the following equipment:
- Whole waterproof body cover
- Hat and Gloves
- Spare long sleeve Top
- Map, compass and whistle (You must have a paper map and a traditional compass)
- Optional plastic mug (no cups provided at road checkpoints).
- Extra food and water
- Other suitable equipment/clothing for the weather on the day.
GPS devices are allowed. Please note that the route is not flagged and so will require navigational skills. The route is a point to point route and all participants are expected to choose their own route around the course, keeping to public tracks and right of ways.
Age limit for the race is 18. Under 18's can take part in the early start.
