FVO Welcomes you to Day 2 of FVO's Trossachs Double Header Weekend with a technical middle distance race at Callander Crags including South of Scotland Orienteering League event and 1 person relay public event and Senior Home International Relays.
Middle distance course available across White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green, Green, Blue and Brown as well as a a mass start 1 person relay, which will be run over the same courses as the SHI relay. This will offer the opportunity to run over the same courses as the best orienteers in the country. Gaffling will be used so the runners will have slightly different courses.
Car Parking: Station Road Car Park in Callander. The arena is 600m and 30m climb from parking.
The start for White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green and Brown, and 1 person relay will start and finish from the Arena and all other courses the start will be 1.7km walk from the arena.
Terrain: Steep and technical forested slopes, with complex contour detail in places. Runnability is variable. It has been reduced in places with summer vegetation of grasses and bracken. Courses are planned to avoid the worst of this.
