*SPUNCH* Lantern Pike - FINAL DETAILS

THE FINAL DETAILS HAVE NOW BEEN ISSUED BY EMAIL TO ALL THAT HAVE ENTERED. THEY ARE ALSO AVAILABLE HERE WE DO HAVE A NUMBER OF MAPS AVAILABLE FOR LATE ENTRIES AND ENTRIES ON THE DAY (UNTIL THEY RUN OUT!) IT IS STILL BEST TO USE THIS ON LINE ENTRY SYSTEM EVEN IF ENTERING ON THE DAY! ON LINE ENTRIES REMAIN OPEN ONLY UNTIL THE MAPS RUN OUT. Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT Under 18s who go for free with a paying adult. Minimum age 14. Juniors aged 14-17 go for free but must run with a parent or guardian over 21. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants.

Tuesday Evening Spunch Event - 60/90/120 min hilly score course using a rich network of public rights of way, open access land and navigating with an enlarged and enhanced extract of OS Explorer map. Free parking, Registration, Loos, Start, Finish, Refreshments all at The Lantern Pike Inn, 45 Glossop Road, Little Hayfield, High Peak SK22 2NG
A proper mid-week Peak District experience, just 25 mins from the M67, and easy to get to from Glossop, Buxton, Macclesfield and even Sheffield.
Come from central Manchester on the train - both Glossop & New Mills Railway Stations are just a 10 minute cab ride away from the event centre.
Big views towards Kinder Scout and into the Peaks as you go in search of 60 SpunchPoints around Lantern Pike, Middle Moor and in the valleys below around Hayfield.
Food & Drink available at the Lantern Pike Inn after you have finished. An 18th Century Country Pub with good beer, a warm welcome and a beer garden with views of much of the route.
Spuncher's Special meal offer of Beef Chilli or Veggie Curry each with rice, chips or half & half for £10.
A great opportunity to refuel, compare routes and chat with friends & rivals old and new inside or outside at this lovely pub.
Run, jog or walk - suitable for fell runners, trail runners, park runners, adventure runners, orienteers, walkers, and newcomers alike. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages 14+ and all abilities - lots of help available for newcomers. No dogs allowed on your run/walk at this one sorry.
Start anytime between 6:30pm & 7:30pm. Registration open from 6:00pm.
60 Spunchpoints to choose from, spread out in the surrounding hills & countryside immediately accessible from the Pub. You will find lots of route choice on a rich network of paths. The area of about 9 sq km offers options at lower levels for the less adventurous. For those seeking a challenge, some steepish paths & tracks & BIG climbs!
2k to 22k, the choice is yours!
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch.
