She Who Walks: Evening Walk, Calver Hill

An evening hike from Reeth aimed at encouraging increased female participation in walking.
An evening hike with a challenge! Starting from Reeth we will follow rights of way to ascend Calver Hill, hopefully for gorgeous views! We will return by the same route. Please note that this walk does feature a steep climb for the final ascent up the hill and we will be ascending 1000ft for the first two miles of the walk.
I will have an alternative low level route which we will take if the weather conditions require it.
As this is an evening walk, there is an optional visit to the pub after for drinks.
Please note this is a FEMALE ONLY event.
Highlights include:
- Lead by a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader
- Small group of 12 max
- Optional pub visit after the walk
Start: 6pm meet for a 6.15pm start
You must be 18+ to enter this event.
You will need:

· Walking boots and thick socks
· Full length trousers as some sections of the path could be overgrown. Jeans are not recommended.
· Waterproof jacket and trousers
· Sun hat/glasses
· Spare top layer in your pack
· Snacks and drinks in an easy to find section of your bag. We recommend bringing 500ml of drinks with you.
· Fully charged mobile phone.
· Any personal medication needed.
· A comfortable back pack to carry your own kit. You may wish to consider putting things inside a plastic bag or other waterproof bag inside your back pack.
· Money if you wish to visit the pub after the walk.
