6.5 miles, 710 feet

Route Description:
The race follows the riverside footpath and farm tracks to the foot of the Law. The ascent is a steep rock scramble up the east ridge on the edge of the old quarry followed by a fast grassy descent back to farm tracks and the riverside path. The outgoing route involves a wade across the River Tyne which is usually no more than a welcome cooling but sometimes becomes a raging torrent forcing a course detour by the footbridge.

Trail or studded running shoes advised.

Start: 3pm TBC

The race is part of the East Linton Gala. Please stay to enjoy this local community day.

Note that the new train station is now open and is adjacent to the gala field. We would encourage you if possible to use the train. Otherwise, please cycle or car share where possible, and park considerately when arriving.

All Carnethy organised races (unless stated otherwise) will adhere to the Scottish Hill Runners safety rules.
