Ten Res's will be even better for 2025! You may notice the price has increased slightly, this is to cover the addition of an indoor checkpoint and also Open Tracking to our event. Your friends and family will be able to follow your progress around the route, but more importantly so will we. In the event of bad winter weather both of these additions will help to enable us to ensure your safety.
A tough, high moor route around Saddleworth Moor visiting 10 local Reservoirs. Each participant must navigate themselves around the route, visiting each checkpoint in the correct order.
Registration: Opens at 7am
Start Times: Early Start - 8am ; Race - 9am.

Distance: 26 miles
Ascent: 4273 feet
Event Fees: include food and drink at 3 roadside checkpoints plus hot meal at the end. Open Tracking timing and live results. Certificate and Badge upon request.
All participants must carry the following equipment:
- Whole waterproof body cover
- Hat and 2 pairs of gloves (buff not acceptable in bad weather)
- Spare long sleeve top
- Insulated jacket
- Paper map of the route; traditional compass and whistle
- Simple first aid kit (plasters; bandage etc)
- Survival bag
- Headtorch with spare batteries or second headtorch
- Extra food and water
- Other suitable equipment/clothing for the weather on the day.
- Plastic mug (no cups provided at road checkpoints). Optional if you want a hot drink.
GPS devices are allowed Note that the route is not flagged (except for the small section of SSSI land) and so will require navigational skills. Participants must follow the advertised route due to access issues over the moors and visit all the checkpoints in the correct order. Final details for the event will be sent via email the week before the event.
Age limit for the race is 18. Under 18's can take part in the early start. Dogs are allowed on the early start only, but must remain on a lead at all times.
