A Saturday afternoon Spunch Event in collaboration with Deeside Orienteering Club, based in and around the beautiful and historic town of Nantwich.  60/90/120min score course options in a mixed urban, parkland and countryside setting, navigating with an enhanced hybrid map.  Registration, Loos, Start, Finish, and refreshments all the St Mary's Parish Hall, in the fantastic setting of Nantwich Town Centre.  Church Walk, CW5 5RG

Just 15mins from M6 J16 (A500), 20mins from M6 J17 (Sandbach) and 50mins from Chester.

Discover the secrets of (possibly) Cheshire's prettiest town.  Wind your way through the Market Square, taking ginnels between Tudor buildings, and passing the majestic Church before heading out through the River Weaver Park and / or along sections of the Shropshire Union Canal.

Cake, Tea & Coffee etc will be available at sensible cost in the Hall after you have finished.  A great opportunity to refuel, compare routes and chat with friends & rivals old and new in this lovely Town Centre venue.  All cake stall profits will be donated to the Nantwich Food Bank.

Run, jog or walk - suitable for road runners, trail runners, park runners, adventure racers, orienteers, walkers, and newcomers alike.  Great for families and friends to do together.  Suitable for all ages and all abilities - lots of help available for newcomers.  Four legged friends are welcome too, but must be kept under control and on a lead at all times.

Start anytime between 1pm and 2pm.  Registration open from 12:30pm.

Over 50 Spunchpoints to choose from, spread out throughout the town, the extensive riverside & lakeside park & , and in the adjoining countryside.  You will find lots of varied route choice, from tricky little town centre alleyways, to country park, to countryside towpath, paths & tracks.  The area of about 9 sq km is fairly flat meaning fast running for those with speed in mind, or a fairly gentle outing for those prefer to take in the sights.  2k to 22k, the choice is yours!

Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch.

After the event, stick around for an hour or two and enjoy the Nantwich Town Centre Saturday vibe in one of the many pubs, bars & cafes in and around the Town square.

Hope you will come along and give it a go!
