Black Mountains MBO - Talgarth
Another new area for this year's series where we will be exploring the rights of way on the north of the Black Mountains & over the River Wye. Expect some stunning scenery & epic views as you head out on the course from the small market town of Talgarth. The event area preview map will be sent out to all those on the mailing list two weeks prior to the event & the final instruction will be sent out the Friday before. It will also feature the preview map & other details relevant to the event.
When going through the entry process please ensure you add your BMBO Membership Number, if you are not yet a member you can still ride but your result will not count in the UK National League. To participate you will need the MapRun App on your Android or iPhone, or a Garmin Watch with the MapRunG App, or any GPS watch. The event ID will be sent out the day before the ride & the PIN code issued at the start. It's important not to enter the PIN code until you are ready to go as your time will start as as soon as you do so.
The App will not work as well if your phone is in your jacket front pocket, where you body is shielding it from the sky. For the best satellite coverage it is useful to have it stowed ideally on a handlebar mount, crossbar bag or in the top of your day sack.
