Peak Raid Anytime Race 3 - Thornhill
Enjoy the freedom to compete at anytime you choose. Using MapRun7, a series of four, 2-hour score races using footpaths and areas of open access in the Peak District. Take part as many times as you like and at any time you chose.
Think fell running requiring good route choice and navigation skills. The series uses footpaths and areas of open access around the Peak District, providing good running in more remote ‘off the beaten track’ locations. All races have a score format so you select your own route and go as hard or easy as you like!
The races have a time limit of 2 hours, all controls score 20 points and there is a penalty of -10 points for each minute late. You can take part in each race as many times as you wish, and at any time you choose.
Order a Professionally Printed Map
Professionally printed waterproof maps can be purchased when entering and will be posted at the beginning of each month when the race goes live. As in previous years a map PDF will also be made available for competitors to print their own map.
We will order extras maps, but to guarantee a map please enter and order by:
- Sunday 17 March for Race 1
- Sunday 14 April for Race 2
- Sunday 19 May for Race 3
- Sunday 16 June for Race 4
Map cost, including postage: £3.00 each.
The series results will be published on the Explorer Events website www.explorerevents.co.uk
Races can be undertaken in any order and do not need to be completed in the month that they go live. However, only runs completed by Sunday 6th October 2024 will contribute to the series results. The series result will be the combined score from all four MapRun races.
