She Who Walks: Reeth Guided Walk

A beginner level hike on rights of way around Reeth aimed at encouraging increased female participation in walking. Starting in Reeth, we will follow the road and then footpaths to Fremington. We will then follow the bridleway along the bottom of Fremington Edge and along the river to Castle Farm. At this point we will cross the road and ascend Back Hill before dropping down into Reeth. Please note this is a FEMALE ONLY guided walk.
NB: As we will finish around lunch time, there is an optional café visit at the end! Car sharing is encouraged as far as possible. Arrangements for parking will be communicated in the information email. There is an honesty box for parking and suggested donation of £2 per car.
Highlights include:
- Lead by a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader
- Small group of 12 max
- Optional cafe visit after the walk

You must be 18+ to enter this event.
You will need:
- Walking boots and thick socks
- Warm clothing. Jeans should be avoided. A warm base layer and a fleece mid layer is recommended
- Waterproof jacket. Waterproof trousers are recommended but not essential
- Gloves and hat
- Spare top layer in your pack
- Snacks and drinks in an easy to find section of your bag. We recommend bringing at least 500ml of drinks with you
- Fully charged mobile phone
- Any personal medication needed
- A comfortable back pack to carry your own kit. You may wish to consider putting things inside a plastic bag or other waterproof bag inside your back pack
- Money if you wish to visit the café after the walk
