The Lets Run Adventures Hanging Stone Leap will take place on Sunday, 7th July, 2024. 

Participants select a route of either 13 miles or 24 miles over the scenic North Yorkshire moors.  The routes are self navigated and start and finish at Guisborough Rugby Club.  Both routes will not be marked therefore public bridleways and rights of way must be used at all times. The route selection is down to the individual as long as all of the checkpoints are visited in the correct order.

The event is open to both walkers and runners, with a maximum time limit of ten hours. 

There will be minimal refreshments and water at two CPs, and water at another two. 

Cost: £25. Children under 16 are able to run, but must be accompanied by an adult. Entry for U16s is £10.

Venue: Guisborough Rugby Club, Belmangate, Guisborough, TS14 7BB

Registration: 7:00am and 7:45am with a mass start at 8:00am. 

Course swaps will be facilitated at registration

As we all know, the weather can be unpredictable, even in July in the UK, therefore the minimum kit required is as follows:

  • Fully waterproof taped seams jacket
  • Hat and gloves
  • Bivvy bag and blanket
  • 500mls of fluid
  • Spare food
  • Charged mobile
  • Explorer OL26 North York Moors (Western Area) or equivalent map
  • Working compass
  • Whistle
  • Mug/soft cup for drinks at checkpoint

There will be a random check during the event of an item from the list . Anyone found to be missing that item will be disqualified from the event. At registration all participants will sign to confirm they have the required kit.

At the conclusion of the event, there will be a warm welcome with a selection of hot food and drinks. 

 All finishers will receive a cloth badge and certificate.

Please note: There is no participant parking at the Rugby Club as this is required for marshals.  The nearest public car park is a short distance from the venue at Fountain Street, Guisborough TS14 6QF . Toilets are available in the car park.

This year there will be a maximum of 100 participants.
