Are you up for an event with a difference? Families in Grief (FiG) and The Wave Project - two local North Devon charities - have joined forces to bring you an exciting new event – 'Barney to Beach 2024'. Starting in Barnstaple Pannier Market, the route will take you through a variety of terrains - mostly flat - along the Tarka trail with some spectacular North Devon views along the way. We then finish through the dunes and onto the beach at Crow Point. What a journey!
View our video and be inspired - with thanks to business sponsor Letterfest for making this possible
And the children?
There will be a mile-long run through the dunes and beach around Crow Point. Ages 4 to 16 are welcome.
Barney to Beach in a nutshell
We regret that the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Dogs are allowed only with those walking the course ie no dogs with runners. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Friends and Family
Rally your friends and family to wave you off at the start - and then drive to Crow Point to drink tea and eat cake while waiting for you to finish - to celebrate your success! Or maybe they can take advantage of our special FAMILY team ticket - two adults and up to four children for a registration fee of £50?
