Online registrations for Barney to Beach this Sunday 15th September are now closed. However, it is still possible to register on the day if you want to take part!

To register on the day, please come to Barnstaple Pannier Market between 8.00am and 08.30am. The event will start promptly at 09.00am.

IMPORTANT!

Those registering on the day will need to arrange their own transport back from the Finish area (Crow Point). Friends/family travelling to the finish to wait for you there should park at Crow Point Car Park which is at the end of a Toll Road having a cash only fee of £2.50. Nearest postcode is EX33 2NY. Please ensure they do have cash for this.

We plan to make it a fun atmosphere at the end with refreshments, raffle/tombola and live music from the amazing Kahunas so do encourage them to come along!

You can view the Barney to Beach route map here and the Finish area visual here.

Are you up for an event with a difference?  Families in Grief (FiG) and The Wave Project - two local North Devon charities - have joined forces to bring you an exciting new 14k (8 mile+) event – 'Barney to Beach 2024'.  Starting in Barnstaple Pannier Market, the route will take you through a variety of terrains - mostly flat - along the Tarka trail with some spectacular North Devon views along the way. We then finish through the dunes and onto the beach at Crow Point. What a journey!

View our video and be inspired - with thanks to business sponsor Letterfest for making this possible

Children
Children can take part along with parent/carers on a Family Ticket and do the full course.  As an alternative, there will be a mile-long fun run through the dunes and beach around Crow Point. Ages 4 to 16 are welcome.  For the fun run, you can still register on the day at Crow Point Car Park (registration 10.00-10.45am). Every child who enters will be eligible for a 50% discount on entry to The BIG Sheep!
