Inverness Orienteering Club welcomes you to Dallaschyle. Dallaschyle characterises “proper” Scottish orienteering - be ready for a challenge!!

Timings for the event
Car parking – arrive from 09:45
Registration – open from 10:00
Start times – 10:30 - 12:30
Start
All courses start at the same location 1.1km from assembly. Exit via a temporary style / fence crossing at the south-west side of the parking field & follow red & white tapes.
Finish
The finish for white, yellow, orange & light green courses will be 100m from the assembly field over the aforementioned temporary style / fence crossing.
The finish for TD5 courses will be 280m from the assembly field across a very minor road. Take care when entering the field as this will be through the same gate as cars entering/exiting.
Terrain, Map, & Technical Info
Map: scale will be 1:10 000 with 5m contours for all courses.
Timing: SI punching will be used, with SI Air enabled. SI timing chips will be available to hire.
Terrain: Dallaschyle was used for the WOC ‘99 short race, Moray 200, and a SOL in 2011, but has not seen action since 2013. There are several areas of excellent contour and rock detail with good runnability; other sections of rolling white forest which are generally runnable whilst the bracken is down. There are several sections of felling/re-planting which you will be pleased to know are almost entirely avoided by the courses!

White - 1.7 km 35m climb
Yellow - 2.4 km 90m climb
Orange - 2.8 km 95m climb
Light Green - 3.4 km 130m climb
Green - 3.9 km 160m climb
Blue - 5.7 km 270m climb
Brown - 9.4 km 410m climb
