Welcome to the third edition of the 5 mile fun-run raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity. This year's 26.2 mile city tour hasn't been announced yet. TBH, the event we hope to get to hasn't announced it's charity partners yet - you can't even enter the ballot yet!!! Some of you know where I'm talking about!
Starting and finishing at The Cross Keys pub in Epperstone, join your running friends on 5 undulating miles of Nottinghamshire trails. Then re-hydrate at the pub whilst the prizes are handed out. Four-legged runners are more than welcome to join the fun-run. You know the limits of your own doggie so if it is a hot day on Tuesday 16th July, please leave pooch at home.
For all HP runners - this event counts towards the points tally in the Road League.
We have some prizes up for grabs - although we are not having the standard age group prizes, instead opting for some randomly placed prizes. So if you finish in a position that corresponds to the list, you will receive a prize. Prizes include:
- First male and female - Up & Running vouchers
- Course record, both male and female
- The club prize for the club that attends the fun-run with the most entrants (please ensure you add your running club/group when entering the event). A huge crate of beer!
- Entries to local races.
- A hat or two or even a unique running T!
Entry numbers have been lifted to 250 runners to avert last year's last minute panic of the event filling up (which is what we want). I hope the fun-run can again raise further valuable funds for The Brain Tumour Charity following the first two years of success.
