30 mile and 18 mile route: 9 mile route: |
There will be three routes. The 30 and the 18 mile routes will make their way up to Woodbury Castle and then downhill to the Exe Estuary. From Exmouth participants will return to Budleigh via the South West Coastal Footpath. The 9 mile walk is still in the planning stages. It may well be self-supporting.

You MUST read them before you enter the event.
Your Challenge is to complete your chosen distance 30 miles (48k), 18 miles (29k) or 9 miles (14k) within a time limit of 11 hours.
Entrants must be able to read a map and follow compass bearings and must have sufficient knowledge, experience, equipment and navigational skills to take part in this walk in all conditions and especially in the event of bad weather.
All routes are covered by the OS Explorer 115 Exmouth & Sidmouth (1:25,000).
Because the routes have been agreed with private landowners it is important that you keep to them at all times.
Certificates will be given on the day to all those who complete the walk.
Dogs permitted as long as kept on a lead. The rules of the town hall are that dogs cannot enter
Please bring your own mug so that we can reduce the amount of single use plastic
All entrants must download a full route description from C&D LDWA Website, print it and take it to the event. These will be available from 14/4/2024
Entry is limited to 200 people.
No more than 99 entries will be accepted for each of the walking/running options for safety reasons.

Route descriptions and gpx files will be available from the 14th April 2024, on the C&D LDWA website, after they have been tested on the marshals walk.
