Incorporating the 2024 Scottish Athletics North District Hill Running Championship

Event day timings-

Registration from 12:00  
Briefing: 13:50 
Start Time: 14.00

Parking:  Great Glen House, Leachkin Road, IV3 8NW

Registration: At the Leachkin Guides Hall, around 200m back down Leachkin Road from the car park. 

Race start is around 500m from the Guides hall, at the roundabout just off Forester's Way. Briefing will take place at the start. 

Refreshments will be available at the hall post-race. 

Prize giving at approx 15:30-16.00.

SA North District hill running prizes:

Male & Female 1st 2nd 3rd

1st Male Team, 1st female team

And the coveted Prestige trophy between HHR and Inverness Harriers!

The Race starts near the roundabout on Foresters Way. Approximately 500m from Great Glen House.

Marked course, mainly on good tracks.

Be prepared to carry full waterproof body cover, hat, gloves, whistle, compass and map.

Toilets are available at the Leachkin Guides Hall, but no there are no changing facilities.

Junior Race

  • Age categories - U13, U15, U17 (10 years minimum).
  • Race distance 3km, with approx 170m climb.
  • Start is the same location as for the senior race, around 500m from registration. Start at 2.10pm. 
  • Registration and parking etc as for senior race at Leachkin Guides Hall.  
  • Route will be marked and marshalled. 

The race is supported by Ponnek

Ponnek has been built by runners, for runners. Their aim is to create a community, a team, an all-inclusive club. Ponnek is not about being at the sharp end of a race, or clocking the fastest times around the track. Whilst they admire and support these feats, they believe it’s the individual and their personal targets, no matter how great or small, that deserves the recognition.
