A Saturday mini festival of orienteering based in and around the lovely Bramhall Park.  Just 10 mins from M60 J1,2,3 & M56 J5.  Within 2k from local railway stations.  Suitable for all ages and abilities.  Run, jog or walk.  Multiple course options 1k to 15k.  Go solo, in a pair or small family / friends group.  Courses available for juniors to do alone or with parent / guardian.  Experienced orienteers welcome.  Newcomers especially welcome - lots of help available to get you going on the day.

Do up to 3 courses and get 3 different maps for one low cost entry fee!  Bargain!

Starts and finishes all located adjacent to Cafe, toilets & kid's playground.  The licensed Stables Kitchen Cafe has indoor and outdoor facilities and serves a wide range of hot & cold drinks, sweet & savoury snacks, and full meals.

Whether you are a superfit runner, a couch-2-5k'er, or a family who fancy a walk or run together in a nice location, you will enjoy an outing in Bramhall Park and the surrounding area.

Visit parts of Bramhall Park that you never knew existed!  The area has lots of hidden features to find in a mix of woodland and open parkland.  The extensive path network provides plenty of good running / walking and there are a few "ups and downs" that will test your fitness and agility.  Outside the park (on the Spunch course) thread your way through hidden green corridors between the technical semi urban / semi rural parts of Bramhall.  We think you'll enjoy it!

There will be a total of 5 courses for you to choose from (and you can do up to any 3 of them on the day)

1. 60/90 min Park & Urban Spunch Score (up to15k)

2. 30min Scramble Score Part 1 - easy (up to 3k)

3. 30min Scramble Score Part 2 - harder (up to 3k)

4. White Line Course - very easy (1.5k)

5. Yellow Line Course - easy (1.8k)

Course 1 uses Satellite Punch (S-punch) technology & VAR using the MapRun App.  Courses 2-5 use Si Dibber Punch technology.  (All will be explained to newcomers!)

Juniors under 16, must be accompanied by an adult 21+ on Course 1 as there are Spunchpoints outside the park where there are traffic risks.  Juniors may go solo with parent's permission on courses 2-5.

For experienced Orienteers, Spunchers and adult newcomers we recommend courses 1, 2 and 3.

For confident solo juniors we recommend courses 2 & 3.

For less confident solo juniors course 4 or 5 may be a good start before trying course 2!

Extra kudos for over 15s doing courses 1, 2 & 3.  Extra kudos for under 16s doing any 2 or more courses.  Or go really large and include the ParkRun at 9am!

On the 2-part Scramble Score, part 1 must be done before part 2.  On each of the 2-parts, you will be required to visit as many of the available checkpoints as you can in the 30 mins available.  Following a brief rest after part 1, you will get a second map with another (different) set of checkpoints marked.  WARNING: You will find part 2 more challenging than part 1!  There will be separate course results for part 1 and part 2, but also a combined result for both parts.  Also for the 2-part score, under 16s can go solo - so the kids' chance to show the adults how it is done!

Registration from 10:00.  Start times available for all courses anytime between 1030 and 1430.

Well behaved 4-legged friends (on a lead) welcome too.
