Jurassic Coast Trail Races, Exmouth to Seaton on Sunday 7th April 2024.

JP’s Exe to Axe , 22 miles (Solo and Relay). Start 10am.

This will be the 20th year of JP’s Exe to Axe.

The race starts opposite Mickey's Beach Bar & Restaurant, Exmouth (a change for previous years). follows the Coast Path to Seaton, finishing at the far end of the espalande. All races will have chip timing. All maps and other information are available on the website, http://www.sidmouthrunningclub.co.uk  (select JP's Exe to Axe 2024 from the side menu).

Relay Option of 2 to 4 runners. Ankle tag chip timing  to be passed on to the next runner at the Check Points.

Check Points/Relay Handover points: water and snacks available near Budleigh Salterton (///nicer.modes.distract), Sidmouth (///weds.guises.crowned) and Branscombe (///disprove.roofs.widely).

Note: the location of the Budleigh Salterton check point may change due to the Lower Otter Restoration Project.

Pre-race Transport: Transport will be provided from the Finish at Seaton to the start at Exmouth. Cost £10. The transport is only before the race and is on condition that a place is booked in advance. Leaves Seaton at 8:30am.

Hand Baggage: Runners baggage can be transported from the start to the finish, if required. 

Restrictions: No runners under the age of 18 and no dogs.

 

Time Limit:  7 hours as introduced in 2023, previously 6 hours.

Cut-off times: Budleigh Salterton 11.30am, Sidmouth 1:15pm, Branscombe 3:45pm, Finish at Seaton 5pm.
