Safety and Rules

Please ensure you state a reasonably accurate estimated finish time on your entry. We need to cross check this data with the Causeway opening times to ensure all runners can reach the island safely.

This is a running race not a walk, any person found to be walking for an unreasonable amount of time will be disqualified from the event. Please note if you are caught by the sweeper and they believe that you are falling behind the cut off they will ask you to drop out the race at the next checkpoint.

Please note the route to the Island is the Pilgrims causeway and is marked, any runner using the Southern Low Bridge or the road will be disqualified. (we do not have permission to use the road bridge from the Highways Agency. The Causeway Marshall has the last say there will be no negotiations. Yes your feet will get wet!

We have transport available to take runners back to the start point if you are unsupported on the day. This must be declared a month before the race to ensure we have the appropriate transport in place.

All finishers will receive a race medal and a goodie bag.
