A choice of 26mile/42km, 23mile/37km or 18mile/30km circular routes in & around the beautiful Colne valley.
Registration/Start & Finish: Marsden Parochial Hall, St. Bartholemew’s Church, Marsden Nr. Huddersfield, HD7 6DN. (GR SE046116).
Start time: Mass start at 8:30am. Registration open from 7:30am
Route descriptions will be available to download from www.ldwa.org.uk/TheIrregulars .
It is suggested that you print your own route description/download it to your phone/devices along with the relevant gpx/trl maps as we wll not be supplying them at the start.
Maps required-Explorer OL21 and a part of OL1.
Entrants: Both LDWA & non-LDWA entrants welcome. Limit 150. Wait list when full. U-18s must be LDWA members or walk with parents/guardians. U-16s must walk with parents/guardians. Dogs: Allowed but under constant control and on a lead. All entrants to be finished by 1730hours.
Entry includes: Tea & toast at start, cold drinks & snacks at checkpoints, a meal at the finish and a badge & certificate.
Equipment: As parts of this walk is over isolated areas of moorland please ensure that you wear or carry adequate equipment for the terrain & weather. You may wish to include suitable footwear, waterproofs, warm clothing, map, compass, whistle and torch and survival bag.
Please bring your own mug to use on the event. If you have any medical/ allergy issues where you need to supply your own food for the event then please contact the organiser via email and agree arrangements for ensuring you have food safe for your own consumption at the event.
