A challenge event for walkers and runners in the Durham Moors and Dales.  As usual there will be a choice of routes, 30 and 14 miles. 

  • The 30 mile route goes to Middleton in Teesdale via Hamsterley Forest and returns via Hudeshope Beck, Bollihope and River Wear. 
  • The 14 mile route traverses Pikestone Fell and returns via Bollihope and River Wear.

Start Times: Walkers on both events 08:30am, Runners on both events 09:00am

Time limits: 12.5 hours for the 30 mile  route, and 9 hours for the 14 mile route.

Refreshments: will be available at all checkpoints.

Route description: A full route description and a gpx file of the route will be available on the website prior to the event.

Venue: Masonic Hall, Wolsingham DL13 3AN

Parking: To be advised ahead of the event. 

General Notes:

  • We regret no dogs allowed due to nesting birds on the moors.  
  • All participants should wear or carry whole body waterproof clothing and be appropriately dressed for walking or running in open moorland.
  • You must have with you a suitable map e.g OS Explorer Map OL 31 (Electronic versions are acceptable) and a copy of the route description or a GPS navigation device with the route uploaded
