GHBC FUNDURO- 3 stage race for MTBs and 1 extra power stage for EMTBs

EACH RIDERS ENCOURAGED TO COMPLETE EACH STAGE TWICE

Entry level enduro race event designed for anybody on any mountain bike, rigid, hardtail or full suspension. Suitable for Novice through to Pro riders
Ebikes set off 1st/2nd wave for their power stage at approx 0845-9am- Stage 1EBPS
Riders set off at 5min intervals in groups of 10-15 riders
STAGE1EBPS- UPUPUPUP- Ebike Power Stage OPENS 9AM - CLOSES -11AM- riders must complete at least 2 runs
STAGE 1-SHORT AND SWEET, Naturally rooty loamy stage
STAGE 2- BRUNTISAURUS- Trail centre,natural stony section stage
STAGE 3 - SWOOPY SWOOPY- Gravel onto Trail centre onto Natural
Schedule
- 8am - Gates Open.
- 8.15am - Sign On opens. Collect your chip.
- 0830am- Marshalls and First Aid leave for Stages
- 0845-0900am - E-bikers leave for Stage 1EBPS
- 9am Stage1 ebps opens - Closes 1100
- 9AM ALL OTHER BIKERS DEPART APPROX 3MINS INTERVALS
- 9.30am - Stage1 and Stage 2 Opens
- 12.30pm - Stage 1 and 2 Closed.
- Marshals and First Aid Lunch Break.
- 1300pm - Marshals and First Aid in Place for Stage 3.
- 1315pm- Stage 3 - OPENS
- 1515pm- Stage 3 - CLOSES
- 1545pm- Spot prizes and Podiums
- 1615pm- EVENT CLOSES
RACE FORMAT- MASH UP
Riders are encouraged to do each stage twice with your best stage time counting towards your overall time
Timing is by SIAC with Sportident. After working with Sportident for many years, early in 2023, Galloway Hillbillies Bike Club have purchased Sportident timing apparatus and invested time to learn how it operates.
You must register at sign on before obtaining your SIAC timing chip. Make sure you have your chip and it is ACTIVATED BEFORE LEAVING FOR THE TRANSISTION to the START of the Stage 1. If your chip is not activated or you have forgot to put it on, you won't register a time and you'll have pedalled all the way up for nothing and have to go back to collect your chip before registering a race time.

RIDERS ARE ALSO ENCOURAGED TO WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTION EG: KNEE PADS, ELBOW PADS, GLOVES
IF new to racing please follow and Listen and adhere to the marshalls instructions
Each rider will start the stage at 20-25 second intervals by order of the STAGE START MARSHALL
Emphasis on fun. Everybody welcome. If you are novice and have wondered about enduro, then this event is for you. If you are pro level then this will be a great winter training session and great for beginner riders to see your skills.
We will be looking for marshals closer to the event. Each marshal will be provided with a radio, a whistle, flags and a lunch ticket for the cafe for a snack and a drink.
Under 16s must be accompanied by a chaperone, a parent or guardian or adult nominated by parent or guardian . Minimum age is 10.

There's a lot of categories so we don't intend to offer medals to everybody but instead we will have spot prizes
