A tough fell race that takes in the superb private estate of Castle Carr as well as Midgley Moor, Warley Moor and Wadsworth Moor.
A challenging route with some of everything: open moorland; fast descents; long climbs; and flatter, faster sections between.
Category AL: 24 km (15 miles) with 1200m (4000ft) of ascent/descent.
Sunday 15th October 2022 from the Hare and Hounds Pub, Chiserley (Old Town) near Hebden Bridge. HX7 8TN.
Main start: 11am
Early start available at 10:30am for runners who would expect to be in the last 20% of the field.
The race is licensed by the FRA under UKA rules. FRA mandatory minimum kit is compulsory. It is therefore a non-GPS race.
You must carry:
- waterproof full body cover with hood and taped seams
- hat (not a buff)
- gloves
- map of the route, suitable for navigating with
- compass
- whistle
- emergency food
