*SPUNCH* Mow Cop (20mins from J16/17 M6)

Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT Under 18s who go for free with a paying adult. Minimum age 14. Juniors aged 14-17 go for free but must run with a parent or guardian over 21. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants.

Saturday Morning Spunch Event in collaboration with Mow Cop Runners - 60/90/120min countryside score course using an enlarged and enhanced extract of OS Explorer map. Free roadside parking, Registration, Loos, Start, Finish, and refreshments all at Mow Cop Community Hall, The Old School Rooms, Mow Cop, Stoke-on-Trent, ST7 3PJ. Just 20mins from J16 & J17 M6.
Discover the beautiful scenery and spectacular views in and around the North Staffordshire gem that is Mow Cop!
Cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks will all be available at low-cost in the Community Hall after you have finished. A great opportunity to compare routes and chat with friends & rivals old and new!
Run, jog or walk - suitable for fell runners, trail runners, park runners, adventure runners, orienteers, walkers, and newcomers alike. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages 14+ and all abilities - lots of help available for newcomers. No dogs allowed on your run/walk at this one sorry.
Start anytime between 1000 and 1100. Registration open from 0930.
50ish Spunchpoints to choose from, spread out in countryside immediately accessible from the Community Hall. You will find lots of route choice on a brilliant network of paths, tracks and minor lanes. The area of about 9 sq km offers both modest "around the top" options and more challenging hillier options over a wider area for those who prefer a longer outing up to 2 hours. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! Great local nav training for the OMM or your next mountain marathon!
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone or Garmin.
Will your route take in Mow Cop Castle and the Old Man of Mow? It would be rude not to!
