A new Trail Ultra point-to-point challenge of 32miles around East Lancashire, taking in the four art installations 'The Panopticons' by Mid Pennine Arts, in the beautiful trails of the South Pennines.

Following registration, we’ll transport you to the start line at Corporation Park in Blackburn, Lancashire to begin your journey at Colourfields on the former canon battery.  You’ll pass through Halo on the hills of Haslingden, onto Singing Ringing Tree howling overlooking Burnley and the tranquil Atom at Wycoller before finishing in the village of Trawden.

The Panopticons route of varied up and downs takes in parts of the Pennine Way, the Rossendale Way and the Pennine Bridleway at the foothills of Boulsworth Hill.

A total of 32miles and 4700ft of climb (52km, 1430m) takes in the villages of East Lancashire’s industrial heritage and the gentle rolling hills of the local countryside for a manageable challenge on your day out.

A map, GPX file and basic written instructions will be provided.

Registration will be from 6:15 in Trawden.  Parking is available nearby and please park sensible if in the village.

Transport will be provided from 7:00.  Race start will follow a short briefing at 8:00.
