Welcome to the LOC Cumbrian Galoppen on Hard Knott - a classic distance race in a stunning setting.
Unsure which course to enter? The longer courses (Short Green to Brown) will be technical courses designed for experienced orienteers (i.e. not for beginners!). The yellow course is the easiest at this event, suitable for beginners and older children. The Orange course is a bit harder and will tempt you off the beaten track slightly. Light Green is a bit harder again.
We encourage running in pairs or families – it is a good way to start orienteering. To do this, enter the event using one person’s name, and please add the names of everyone accompanying in the ‘Additional names and ages’ box when you enter. You can request extra maps, if required.
