A brand new event for us. Lakeland Paws is delighted to offer our Dawn 2 Dusk Run. This comprises of a 7K loop with 300m vert which you complete as many times as possible within the day light hours on 17th Dec. We have picked nearly the shortest day of the year! We'll start at 08:30 and all loops need to be completed by 15:45.
You can run as a solo or as a pair - the choice is yours. Laps can be completed with a dog, without a dog or with a different dog. We would strongly recommend that your dog is trained and fit enough to compete and that you give your dogs rest breaks during the event. 40km is a good working maximum for your animals, but you can try to go as far as you wish.
The course has stunning views. We have tried to keep the ascent down, but it is Whinlatter, it is England's only mountain forest so it is definitely not flat. The ground on this route is not technical. It's a mix of wide forest roads and some smaller amounts of single trail.
The event is chip timed and will be marked. GPX files are available to download too.
