Our second series of canicross races at Whinlatter Forest, Dodd Wood and Grizedale Forest. Each event following the same format and starting at 9am with individual starts for each athlete so that all dogs have the space they need to start safely. The courses are a mix of forest roads and trails. On this route runners are able to run with two dogs and the dogs must be run on a suitable harness. Runners are welcome to compete without dogs too.
There are two course options. The longer option is an 8K loop with 330m of ascent. There is a shorter option, which avoids some of the ascent is 5K and 240m of vert. This is recommended for beginners or those seeking an easier route.
The event is chip timed and will be marked. GPX files are available to download too.
