NEMC - Druridge Bay Summer(ish) Saunter

Druridge Bay returns as a 6 hour event where you can run as much or as little as you want. Each lap is around 6.50 miles around the country park. A marathon is 4 laps and a half marathon is 2 laps. You may have to run a bit extra at the beginning or end if you want an exact measurement on your watch. The Garmin measured route includes a run on the beautiful beach and sand dunes, passing the large freshwater lakes and surrounding meadows, plus a section through the woodland. The route includes 2 closed roads, sand and trails. The route is mostly flat. The lap passes the drinks station, toilets and carpark. This event has an ARC permit.
Start time is 10 a.m., so you can run the Druridge Bay parkrun first, if you wish, and include that distance in your total.

If you want to enter a team, any number from two upwards, you will be welcome.

NEMC is becoming increasingly sustainable by no longer using disposable cups at our non-competitive events. You are asked to bring your own cup or bottle, which we will fill for you. If you choose not to bring your own, we can sell you one for £2 and give that money to WaterAid.
